Duopoly: Bull And S***

From the ZDNet Blog, Between The Lines:

Video games aren’t ZDNet’s bailiwick, but we do know about duopolies. And technology increasingly seems to be headed toward duopoly-ville.

I would add a few other important ‘duopolies’:

Old and New

Dumb and Dumber

Day and Night

Good and Evil

Dude and Walter

Which one applies to the above quote?

You Voyeuristic Freeloaders

“Options — the Secret Life of Steve Jobs” (Fake Steve Jobs)

Bottom line is that if this book takes off, other celebrity CEO bloggers will find it easier to get published. So friends, there’s a lot riding on this. Sure, you’ll love my book and laugh your ass off and maybe even learn a little bit about El Jobso. But that’s not the only reason to buy this book. It’s also about making a statement.

-Fake Steve, This Video Has Been Going All Around

Fake Steve, You’re so old media. Why give away 80% of the pie to publishers and book sellers? Why ask other writers to give away 80%? Are you only giving away 80%? Doesn’t that just bite.

Fake Steve 2.0 would rant, “Hey I invented the friggin’ donate button. Click it and send me cash. You owe me, you voyeuristic freeloaders. Pay up. You’ll feel better and I’ll be richer. And one of those things is important. Namaste.”

Frog Spawn

nowarts-1.jpgApply tainted wart-creme from China. Expose to excess UV-rays available where ozone depletion is rampant. Wait 24 hours. “Look Ma, no warts!”

Not bed bugs, bed frogs. The latest infestation.

Sweet are the uses of adversity, which, like a toad, though ugly and venomous, wears yet a precious jewel in its head.
